HallStar Presents New Ingredient for Sun Care

The HallStar Company, a Chicago-based specialty chemistry company, introduced a new multifunctional ingredient for sunscreen and other personal care products with sun protection. HallStar SolaSil PSF combines the aesthetic appeal and cushion of silicone with a powerful photostabilizer that increases protection for the consumer against the both the burning (UVB) and aging (UVA) effects of the sun’s radiation.

“HallStar Solasil PSF builds on and extends HallStar’s expertise in photostability,” said Craig Bonda, R&D director, personal care ingredients, HallStar. “As photostability experts, we have the technologies our customers need to deliver photostable, broad-spectrum sun protection that meets or exceeds the highest international standards.”
